Start from Scratch

Every once and awhile it’s a good thing to start from scratch. Give yourself a nice reboot. Over the course of these past few months I’ve really tried to determine where my passions and talents lay and how can I achieve the goals I once had set out for myself. I’ve come to realize that having a gift is truly an amazing thing. I’m not implying that my gift is good, from a quality standpoint. I could be creating content that is complete rubbish. The point is that being able to create content is a gift. Anyone can operate tools - whether those tools are steel, a canvas, a camera, etc - anyone can operate them. But to be able to create content that people look at and either cherish or despise is a gift.

With the advice of several and people I respect I have refocused my energy on creating more content, taking more photographs and stay inspired. It’s very easy to quit. The hardest thing to do is to get up every morning, work a nine to five and come home and work on what you love. I read somewhere once that talent comes from, not the ability, the determination to be talented. It’s easy to sleep in, to go to take a nap, to stay in because its raining. With every obstacle comes new opportunity to learn. The conditions to perform your craft will never be perfect, therefore we must make the best of every situation.

Okay, now that the philosophy has been said, it’s time to get to the nitty gritty of everything. I’m going to be persistent in posting - whether it be new photographs, new video projects I’m working on, or a simple one for the road comment. There’s about seven people that check this site out regularly, perhaps those seven will turn into seven hundred. Either way, if one person see’s my work - whether they hate it or love it - I’m happy.

Enjoy the new look and new content!
