A short video using some stock footage I shot a year ago. The purpose of the video is to have a slow, elegant pace. I've often found that editors lately are using this frantic style of editing as if to demonstrate how many cuts they can fit into a reel in 3 minutes. There are 19 cuts in this piece, and even I find it excessive, but it worked. For me, editing is a dicipline in structure; it is very easy for us to be frantic and 'extreme' in our editing. There's a time and plce for that, sure, but I think some of us miss out on an oppurtunity to slow things down and engage the viewer in patience.
